Social Media Manager & Content Creator

Overview

After graduating in 2023, I went on a backpacking trip through Europe with my best friend, and I was hooked on travel ever since. Wanting to continue to expand on my skills and experience, I found an opportunity through Worldpackers to volunteer as a Social Media Manager and Content Creator at Gijón Surf Hostel in northern Spain.

Over one month, I was responsible for developing and executing a consistent, high-quality content strategy aligned with the hostel’s goal of increasing reach and traffic ahead of the spring surf season. I collaborated closely with the hostel manager to ensure brand alignment and timely delivery across all platforms.

By the end of the month, my content strategy led to a 58.2% increase in reach, a 25.5% boost in profile activity, a 23.5% growth in visits, and a 69.8% rise in link taps (month-over-month).
